《雅加达邮报》2015年9月18日讯 ,印尼副总统卡拉在周五与马来西亚副总理阿末扎希会晤后表示,对于马来西亚当前紧张的国内政治形势,印尼不会干涉。
Vice President Jusuf Kalla has stated that Indonesia will not interfere with the tense domestic politics currently happening in Malaysia, speaking after a meeting with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Friday.
"We were discussing better relations between Indonesia and Malaysia in terms of the economy, social issues and regional security matters," Kalla told a press conference at the vice presidential palace as quoted by Antara news agency.
According to Kalla, it was Hamidi's first visit to Indonesia as Malaysia's deputy prime minister.
Regarding the political turmoil occurring in Malaysia, Kalla stated that it was Indonesia's foreign policy not to interfere with other country's internal issues.
"As Malaysia's friend, Indonesia considers [the issues] internal affairs. But we are always ready to give insights or support when needed," said Kalla.
He added that he supported Malaysia maintaining unity and was optimistic that it would be able to solve its political and economic affairs as usually happens.
