据《雅加达邮报》10月7日报道,市议会立法机构计划禁止雅加达夜总会午夜后营业。
The City Council's Legislation Agency (Balegda) plans to prevent nightclubs in Jakarta from staying open after midnight.
"[The nightclubs] will have to close at midnight. It has been decided [by Balegda] and [we have all] agreed," said Balegda head Mohammad Taufik on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
He added that there would be no more bargaining; the new regulations would be added to the draft bylaws (raperda) on tourism that would be ratified next week.
The discussion on the draft bylaws on tourism will also include matters such as karaoke clubs, saunas, massage parlors and live music lounges.
After the raperda is ratified, the Jakarta Governor, the Jakarta Police, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and Jakarta's Military commander (Pangdam Jaya) will be expected to coordinate with one another to enforce the new bylaws. Executive officials such as Jakarta Culture and Tourism Agency and Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) are also required to carry out the regulations.
