The rising oil price, William further said, would pull up other commodities (such as coal and gold), which would be positive for Indonesia as the main commodity producer in Southeast Asia.He expected the JCI to touch its upper level of 4,640 on Wednesday. Most Asian equities markets declined on Tuesday.

The Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dropped 0.37 percent, Japan’s Nikkei Index declined 0.42 percent and Singapore’s Straits Times retreated 0.05 percent.Vice President of Research and Analysis at Valbury Asia Securities Nico Omer Jonckheere said the newly released economic package would boost the market's confidence in Indonesia’s economic prospects in dealing with the slowing global economy.
