据《雅加达邮报》10月17日报道，针对多维问题，如腐败、暴力和极端主义，印尼需要加强遵守潘查希拉作为国家的基本价值，人民协商会议议长(MPR) Zulkifli Hasan说。Amid multi-dimensional problems, such as corruption, violence and radicalism, Indonesiaand its people need to strengthen adherence to Pancasila as the basic national value, People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Zulkifli Hasan has said.

According to Zulkifli, the basic values of the national ideology Pancasila are pluralism, democracy and social justice, which are essential for a multicultural country likeIndonesia. "We have to actualize these values in governing our nation as well as in the daily lives of the people," said Zulkifli at an event to commemorateMuhammadiyahSoloUniversity's anniversary inSurakartaon Friday.

Zulkifli, who is also National Mandate Party (PAN) chairman, proposed instilling in people three virtues of Pancasila – emotion, logic and credibility.

He said adherence to Pancasila as the national ideology needed to be revived, which was important because no nation could achieve greatness if the people did not believe in anything."All this time we have not actualize Pancasila in real life. The tenets of Pancasila have just been slogans and rhetoric, not a reflection of the behavior of Indonesia as a nation," he add.Meanwhile, on the same occasion, the chairman of Indonesia's second-largest Muslim organization Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nasir, said Indonesia faced a lot of challenges, but the country often lost the momentum to move forward.
